Iceland were the underdog team of Euro 2016, as they beat all odds to pass the group stage and then defeating England to reach the quarterfinals. They proved that they had talent to match up and compete against other European giants. Yet this summer, Iceland are no longer a surprise team and many opponents know to watch out for them. Iceland was placed in Group D: arguably the toughest group in the entire tournament. Iceland will have to face World Cup-favorites Argentina, a fellow European giant Croatia, and a very young and fast Nigeria team. The 21st edition of the World Cup, taking place in Russia, from June 14th to July 15. The World Cup is finally here. Well, not yet, only some 5 months left before the ball first kicks off in the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, but we can feel it closer than ever. 4 years since Germany lifted the trophy in El Maracana in Brazil, they look once again as favorites to win this year as well. They could be the first country to repeat as world champions since Brazil did so in 1958 and 1962. Germany comes in with arguably the deepest and most talented pool of players to choose from, ensuring Germany to make it far within the tournament.
