World Cup Final in-depth review

I was unable to watch the Final live today, due to the fact I was in church. Here I am watching a recording of the game, and I'll be reviewing the match as it goes on. It'll be sort of a minute-by-minute review, for those who were not able to watch it like me, or simply want to relive the moment.

Minute 1- AAAAND GAME ON, Croatia vs. France.

Minute 3- Perisic is vastly underrated.

Minute 7- Croatia is playing strong so far they look dangerous. They've arrived to France's defensive third, but have yet to get a clear chance on goal. Impressive start by Croatia, who have struggled in games early on.

Minute 14- France is staying back and absorbing Croatia's pressure. Smart tactics or Croatian dominance?

Minute 17- GOLLLL France! Griezmann's set piece play intended for Varane ended up bouncing off of Mandzukic's head into his own net. 1-0 France after a good start from Croatia.

Minute 25- Turns out that was the first own goal in a World Cup Final in history. That sucks. Kante booked with a yellow card.

Minute 28- BUT WHO CARES A GOLAZOOOOOOOOOOOOO BY PERISIC. THAT'S A BAD MANNNNNN. OOF HOW HE CONTROLLED THE BALL AND SET IT UP TO BLAST IT INTO THE NET. 1-1 

Minute 32- France has yet to threaten Croatia. They're playing a slow pace and they fail to apply pressure.

Minute 34- Fair penalty to me. Perisic sticks out his hand ever so sightly to be called a hand ball. Griezmann lines up for the shot. GOAL 2-1. France gets bailed out once more.

Minute 43- Perisic has been doing it all for Croatia this game. If they win (they didn't), he deserves Man of the Match.

Minute 45- HALFTIME. France has been nearly invisible in attack, Croatia has been holding possession and creating chances.

Minute 48- RIGHT AWAY Croatia is looking really dangerous. The French defense needs to react fast.

Minute 52- France is alive again. Uh oh. Croatia is getting desperate, opening up the field for counter-attacks by the French forwards.

Minute 59- GOLLLLLLLLLLLL de POGBA. What a play, a beautiful mess that ended up in Pogba's feet just barely outside the box. Long ball by Pogba created the play, and a goal by Pogba finished it. What a complete player. 3-1

Minute 65- MBAPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! CUE THE LION KING SONG AND LIFT HIM UP TO THE REST OF THE KINGDOM. What a shot by the number 10! Stopped the ball, looked up, and set himself up to take the shot. 4-1 

 Minute 68- WELL THEN THAT WAS FAST, GOL DE CROATIA. What an error by Lloris, yikes. 4-2

 Minute 75- Croatia is playing all out attack, they need to score before it gets too late. With 15 minutes left, there's still a chance to score twice.

Minute 82- Croatia has switched into a three-man defense, in an attempt to play higher up to score.

Minute 95- THAT IS ALLLLL!! FRANCE IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS

What a tournament by France with the talent they have. Mbappe scored four goals at age 19, Griezmann was France's tiny general, Pogba showed the world his talent once more, and the Varane+Umtiti CB pairing was an unbreakable wall.

Well deserved win by France. Complain all you want, they did their job and won the game. France's job isn't to entertain us or to score 10 goals a game, their job is to win. That's what they did. Now let them celebrate the next 4 years.

The World Cup is football's largest collection of stars coming together representing their home countries, and battling it out for the ultimate prize. However, among so much talent on display, there a few handful of players who will shine and seize the moment. These 10 players listed below are players who I am looking forward to watching this summer, and who I think, are worth keeping an eye on. 10. Could Iceland prove to be underdogs again?

Iceland celebrating qualification to the quarterfinals vs. France, after defeating England 2-0. Iceland were the underdog team of Euro 2016, as they beat all odds to pass the group stage and then defeating England to reach the quarterfinals. They proved that they had talent to match up and compete against other European giants. Yet this summer, Iceland are no longer a surprise team and many opponents know to watch out for them.  Iceland was placed in Group D: arguably the toughest group in the entire tournament. Iceland will have to face World Cup-favorites Argentina, a fellow European giant Croatia, and a very young and fast Nigeria team. Nonetheless, Iceland is a very strong team and can surprise us again this summer. Iceland's road to Russia was due to a strong showing in qualifiers, finishing first in Group I.
